About Me

Welcome to Crochet at Home. I’m so glad you found your way here.

I’m Jenny Morgan, and crochet has been my favorite way to slow down for more years than I can count on both hands. What started with a single skein of worsted-weight yarn and a very lopsided granny square has slowly turned into baskets of yarn in every corner of my home, and eventually, this blog.

Why I started this blog

For a long time, my patterns lived on scraps of paper and in notes on my phone. Friends kept asking me to write down “that blanket pattern” or “the little bunny you made,” and I realized I loved explaining the how just as much as the making. Crochet at Home is where I finally put it all in one place.

Everything you’ll find here is written the way I’d explain it to a friend sitting next to me on the couch, including the mistakes I made, because honestly, that’s where the best lessons come from.

What you’ll find here

  • Free patterns: amigurumi, blankets, wearables, and home decor, always with exact stitch counts and step-by-step instructions
  • Honest tips: what yarn actually works, which shortcuts are worth it, and which ones I regret
  • Seasonal projects: because there’s nothing better than hooking up pumpkins in September and snowflakes in November
  • Beginner-friendly guides: if you’ve never held a hook before, you’re in exactly the right place

My crochet philosophy

Handmade doesn’t mean perfect. Some of my most-loved projects have a hidden wonky row or a color change I’d do differently today. Crochet should feel cozy, not stressful. If a pattern here ever confuses you, leave a comment and I’ll help you untangle it (pun fully intended).

Let’s stay connected

The best way to follow along is on Pinterest, where I pin every new pattern. And if you make something from one of my patterns, it genuinely makes my whole week to see it, so don’t be shy in the comments.

Grab your hook, pick a pattern, and make yourself at home. 💛
